Vancouver man drowns near Nehalem Bay State Park after being pulled out to sea by rip current

TILLAMOOK COUNTY, OR (KPTV) – Family and friends are mourning the loss of a Vancouver man who drowned on the Oregon Coast Friday night during a church trip.

The Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office says the man got caught in a rip current near Nehalem Bay State Park.

At around 8:32 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report that three men were being pulled further out into the sea.
