2 commercial fishermen from N.J. among 3 dead after boat capsizes off Oregon coast

UPDATE: Coast Guard was escorting boat when it capsized off Oregon, killing 2 N.J. fishermen

Three commercial fishermen, including two from New Jersey, died after a boat capsized off the coast of Oregon Tuesday night, officials said.

James Lacey, 48, of South Toms River, and the skipper, Stephen Biernacki, 50 of Barnegat, were aboard the Mary B II when it capsized just after 10 p.m. local time, Oregon State Police said in a statement.

U.S. Coast Guard rescuers searching by helicopter found Lacey in the Pacific Ocean and flew him to a hospital in Newport,
