What began as a project for children and something they could use later, has become a model for other buildings and cities.
And although Athena’s Gem Theatre project manager and treasurer Rob McIntyre said the now 14-year-long project is nearing completion, it still needs at least several months of volunteer work and $220,000 in donations or grants. At least that’s his hope.
“It’s a moving target,” he said of finishing and the project cost, which seems to be continually out of reach.
