More storms in store for Oregon Coast – The Register

More rough weather expected this week along the Oregon Coast prompted a warning from Lane County officials Tuesday to coastal residents: batten down the hatches.

The worst weather will likely be Wednesday and Thursday, said Lane County Emergency Manager Linda Cook.

Stormy weather is expected to produce high waves from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, according to National Weather Service forecasts. Cook said driftwood and other debris will add to the dangerous surf, and it might be best to stay indoors and away more at
