DA identifies 6 officers who killed Oregon man suspected of planning ‘suicide by cop’

Six police officers, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers remain on paid administrative leave Monday after fatally shooting a man who authorities say fired at them first on the Oregon Coast on Saturday.

The officers have been identified by the Coos County District Attorney’s Office as North Bend Police Detective Ryan Doyle; Coquille Police Officer Justin Gray; Coos County Deputy Theran Coleman; Coos County Deputy Aaron Whittenberg; Oregon State Trooper Ben Cordes; and Oregon State Trooper Shaelon Ross.
