Oregon trip II: Coastal calling

There are few more complete freedoms than that felt when paddling a kayak or canoe across a calm lake.

Only peace can come with that activity, and it’s something I felt while in a kayak on Emigrant Lake, a man-made body of water tucked between the hills and mountains of the Rougue Valley in Southern Oregon. It was my first time on the lake, second time to this part of the country with one beloved partner who’s childhood was partly spent here.
