Coast Guard airlifts mariner from fishing vessel along Oregon coast (video)

The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted a mariner to safety Friday along the southern Oregon coast.

The agency said it evacuated the mariner, who was reportedly suffering from seizures, and took him to a hospital in Coos Bay. Authorities at Coast Guard Sector North Bend got a request for medical help early Friday evening, and the agency finished hoisting him into a helicopter less than 45 minutes later, the Coast Guard said.

He was transferred to hospital medical staff in just over an hour.
